At the start of the game, your team of two will enter the elevated loop. You can split up to cover the most ground. You will soon receive a series of text messages to help you find the hidden agents, and you must collect a clue from each in order to decipher the secret end location. Once the first team arrives at the secret location, its address will be sent to all players via text message and the agents will disappear. Race to the finish! Only the first three teams to arrive will win prizes, but there will be refreshments for all.

Registration is $10 for each team of two. CTA day passes, running shoes, and cell phones that can receive text messages are encouraged.

Daniel Burnham Scavenger Hunt

client
WBEZ Chicago Public Radio

Have you ever wondered at the method behind Chicago's madness? The parks and boulevards, the double-decker stretch of Wacker Drive, the handiness of Lake Shore Drive, the skyscrapers we take for granted: all this and more we owe to Daniel Burnham and his Chicago Plan of 1909. Chicago's public radio station WBEZ is putting on a scavenger hunt to honor the Plan's centennial: register here by yourself or as part of a team of up to four contestants for the hunt and ensuing afterparty at Navy Pier.

Full Details »

The hunt will begin at 11:00am in the Chicago Architecture Foundation (224 S Michigan Ave) and end at 4:00pm in the WBEZ headquarters on Navy Pier. A trivia contest, prizes, refreshments, and a party await you at this hunt's end, so stick around!

Where's Waldo: The Magnificent Mile

Finders Keepers
Inaugural Event

Waldo, Wanda, Woof, and the Wizard are amiss amidst the sea of shoppers of the Manificent Mile! Should you spot them, certain spoils shall be yours. Oh, and the oafish Odlaw is out to obstruct our observations.

Full Details »

Participants will search for Waldo and friends on the Magnificent Mile, from 12 noon to 1:00pm. Registration will begin at 11:30 in one of two locations: in the plaza just south of the Tribune Building in front of 401 N Michigan, and on the northwest corner of Chestnut and Michigan, in front of the John Hancock Tower. Net-savvy searchers can also register early by e-mailing info@finderskeeperscentral.com.

Come dressed for the weather, and be prepared for a hearty search up and down Michigan Avenue. Waldo, Wanda, Woof, the Wizard Whitebeard, and Odlaw will all be wandering individually along the street or within five feet of a storefront window. Upon discovery, each character will sign the participant's card (provided at the start), and the first one to redeem his or her fully completed card at the end point of 401 N Michigan Ave will receive the Grand Prize. Additionally, the first 25 registrants receive complimentary gift bags, which they may also claim at the end point.

Participation is free of charge, but we will accept a suggested donation of $5 per individual or $10 per family to defray the costs of costumes and prizes.
